About / Jan Danko

I build from the operating reality.

I am a Slovak Linux administrator, software developer, infrastructure founder, music producer and sound engineer working between Bratislava and Vienna.

The thread

Operations shaped the way I build.

01

Operations

Production first.

My work started with servers, networks, deployment and the moment something important stops working. That operating background still shapes every system and every line of software I build.

02

Product

The whole path.

At BIOMETRIC, I work across production infrastructure and enterprise software. Independently, I am building Auronys around the layers that deserve deeper technical ownership.

Sound

Systems become physical.

My own setup is a conventional PA of roughly 6 kW, while line arrays are systems I enjoy working with. Live audio and music production follow the same discipline: signal path, headroom and the real room.

Operating principles

How I make decisions.

01

Reality over theatre

I prefer an honest constraint and a measurable trade-off to a polished claim that fails in production.

02

Own the path

Understanding the full signal or request path creates better architecture and faster incident reasoning.

03

Calm under load

Good systems and good operators keep enough headroom to make deliberate decisions when pressure rises.

Current focus

Production systems, Auronys and sound.

My current work sits at the intersection of Linux infrastructure, security and observability, product engineering, network architecture and professional audio systems.
